Engineered illumination

Lighting that protects the player experience and the house position

Casino lighting has to satisfy three conflicting demands: it must create atmosphere, it must render chips and cards accurately under surveillance, and it must remain comfortable through long sessions. Our lighting design balances these requirements in a single, tunable system.

We specify four controlled layers — ambient, task, feature and emergency — and integrate them into a single scene-control platform. The result is a floor that can shift from bright daytime arrival to subdued evening play without ever breaking compliance or surveillance standards.

  • CRI 90+ as standard, with CRI 95+ available for high-limit tables
  • UGR <19 for glare control in player sightlines
  • DALI-2 or DMX scene control with astronomical time-clock scheduling
  • Emergency lighting coordinated with fire egress and gaming shutdown protocols

Range

Lighting layers for every zone

From grand arrival pendants to concealed table task lighting, each layer is tuned for its purpose and its maintenance access.

  • Ambient lighting

Cove, recessed and linear systems that establish base luminance and support wayfinding without competing with feature fittings.

  • Task lighting

Ring and pendant systems focused on table surfaces, delivering accurate colour rendering and low glare.

  • Feature lighting

Statement pendants, chandeliers and sculptural fixtures that become signature design elements in arrival and VIP zones.

  • Backlit features

Onyx, stone, glass and textile panels with concealed LED arrays for bar, reception and art backdrops.

  • Scene control

DALI-2, DMX and proprietary systems programmed with time-of-day, event and emergency presets.

  • Maintenance lamps

Hot-spare inventories and colour-temperature consistency programmes across replacement cycles.

Approach

How we design casino lighting

A casino lighting scheme is a control system as much as a decorative system.

Luminance mapping

We model target luminance levels across the floor, arrival spine, bars and VIP rooms. The gradient protects guests' eyesight during day-to-night transition and supports surveillance performance.

Fixture selection

Every fitting is selected for CRI, UGR, beam angle, maintenance access and finish. We avoid hot spots and reflections that could obscure cameras or distract players.

Scene programming

Lighting scenes are programmed by zone, time and event. The system can shift automatically from day to evening, respond to emergency triggers, or recall a single-room VIP preset.

Commissioning

Final commissioning includes meter readings, uniformity checks, scene recall testing and a handover package with maintenance schedules and spare-part recommendations.
